Neighborhood Educational Opportunity Centers

Campgrove

The Neighborhood Educational Opportunity Centers exist as a partnership between Danville Community  College, area churches and other, not-for-profit organizations. The Partnership is designed to act as a means to rebuild communities and to provide residents access to higher education.  The NEOCs host technology classes, GED instruction and numerous college preparedness and job readiness exercises.

The Neighborhood Educational Opportunity Centers (NEOCs) were created as a bridge program which links every resident of Danville, Pittsylvania County and Halifax County to Danville Community College.  This bridge allows members of our community to access services provided by the college without leaving their neighborhood.  By enrolling in a class at the NEOC in your neighborhood we will assist you with career planning, educational planning, job training and a host of other services.  The NEOCs also provide open lab opportunities where you can enjoy computer access at no charge.

Scholarship Opportunity:

Residents of the City of Danville who meet the income guidelines and other criteria may be eligible  for a tuition reduction for classes taken at the Danville City  NEOCs.  These funds are made available through the City of Danville, Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program.
