  • Military History, Information, & U.S. War Statistics - Teacher Oz's Kingdom of History.   An excellent site!!  Provides links to numerous sites, including:  primary documents; general military history ; medals & decorations; NATO; veterans; insignia; women in uniform; the U.S. military academies; the navy; aviation; U.S. war statistics; issues of war facing the world today, including nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons.

  • The Laws of War - The Avalon Project at the Yale Law School.  Provides miscellaneous treaties, conventions, and agreements, from the Declaration of Paris in 1856 to the Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production and Stockpiling of Bacteriological (Biological) and Toxin Weapons and on Their Destruction of 1975.  Contains documents from the Hague Conferences of 1899 and 1907 and from the Geneva Conventions.

  • Center of Military History.  An excellent site!!  The Center of  Military History records "the official history of the U.S. Army in both peace and war," and is "one of the major publishers of military history in the world."  The site includes the following:  information on books and documents dealing with general military history and with specific wars; Army Regulations; artwork and images; CMH series and publications; frequently asked questions and answers; links to army museums; a history of the army nurse corps; links to other military websites.

  • Selective Service: History/Records.  Provides background information on the Selective Service System of the U.S. and also registration information (who must register, how to register, etc.).   Includes induction statistics for major conflicts which the U.S. participated in during the 20th century and Vietnam era lottery results.  Contains brief essays which discuss "What Happens in a Draft," "Conscientious Objection and Alternative Service," and "Only Sons and Sole Surviving Sons"- (yes, they must register and they can be drafted).

  • Virginia Military Institute Archives.  VMI's archives include Civil War manuscripts, alumni records & class rosters, photographs, and Institute records. 

  • Yahoo: Military History: Wars.  Yahoo provides numerous links to sites dealing with various wars and revolutions.
