*COURSES HIGHLIGHTED IN RED ARE PRE-REQUISITES FOR THE RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM.

* COURSES HIGHLIGHTED IN YELLOW ARE COURSES THAT MUST BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO GRADUATING FROM THE RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM.

* Students must complete BIO 141 and HLT 143 with a C or better.

The Sovah Health School of Radiology requires two (2) units of high school math (Alg. 1, ALG 2, or Geometry) and two (2) units of high school lab science (Biology, Chemistry, Anatomy, or Physics) for admission.

1BIO 142 is not required but strongly recommended.

2 MTH 157 or MTH 163 should be taken if the student is planning on pursuing a career in Sonography, Nuclear Medicine, or Radiation Oncology. Completing these courses will also result in a higher application score due to the fact that the courses are more difficult and will meet the requirement of these other programs, should you choose to pursue that field.

Students interested in CVCC's radiology program are strongly advised to take all of the above courses.

Note:  Students who have a felony conviction, or a conviction for assault, will not be allowed into clinical facilities in allied health programs.  They are thus advised to choose a non-allied health field.

All students accepted into the program are required to have a background check.  If you have concerns about offenses that MAY exclude you from the program, please refer to the website of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists at the following address:   https://www.arrt.org/pdfs/Ethics/Ethics-Review-Pre-Application.pdf
