DCC Admissions and Records
Welcome to DCC!
The mission of Danville Community College’s
Admissions and Records Office is to provide support during the
admissions process, effectively communicate enrollment procedures, and ensure
accurate record keeping for internal and external constituencies.
The Admissions Office Staff is available to assist students through the
admissions and registration processes.
How To Become A Student at Danville Community College
1. Complete a Danville Community College Admissions Application and Virginia Residency form.
There is no application fee.

2. Official High School and/or College Transcripts
Testing Schedule (Note: Subject to Change- Call Counseling to schedule an appointment):
Wednesday 1p.m. - 5pm Thursday 9am - 1pm Saturday 8:30 a.m. Please arrive on time as our session times are limited. If you are unable to complete the entire test in one sitting, you will need to schedule a time to come back and finish it. You will need to bring a picture I.D. & your social security number. 4. Meet with a DCC counselor. 5. Meet with an advisor to register for classes. (or, visit our Online Registration Site!) |

More information regarding the VPT Placement Test:
Per VCCS Policy Manual, the following policies are in effect for the Virginia Placement Test: Test scores are valid for two (2) years after the date of the test. Student who take the Mathematics or English placement test and who do not enroll in developmental math and/or English are allowed to take one (1) retest within twelve (12) months. Students who attempt a developmental math and/or English are ineligible for a retest. Students who provide official evidence of SAT and/or ACT test scores that meet the minimum score requirements and were taken within the last two years, are exempt from taking the VCCS placement test.
