DCC CLUBS' FUNDRAISING FOR TSUNAMI RELIEF EFFORTS - FEB. 12, 2005

 

 

DCC President Dr. Carlyle Ramsey visits Wendi Goods, and the Women's Basketball Team volunteers at Lowe's. Also shown at right is Tom Collins of the Danville Fire Department. Volunteers from the Upsilon Phi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa include Vickie Taylor, Assistant Professor of Sociology, and a chapter advisor, and Melissa Farmer. Representatives from the Middle College and the international Association of Administrative Professionals collected donation at Value City. Justin Powell, left, and SGA President Sean Davis show how to make a donation at their location at the Belk Men's store.

Justice Club volunteers and firemen collected donations at Sheetz. Boot and Tsunmai display poster at the Value City location which had volunteers from the Middle College and the International Association of Administrative Professionals.
DCC volunteers outside of K-mart, include members of the CEO Club and the National Technical Honor Society. PTK representatives Mary Jane Robbins and Johnny West manned a table in front of the Belk store in Piedmont Mall.
A seminar on "What is a Tsunami?" was presented by Professor Joel Gregory on Thursday, February 10, 2005.

Joel Gregory, Adjunct Professor at DCC, discusses the causes and effects of a tsunami during the seminar presentation. Participants listen intently to Joel Gregory and the information about how a tsunami forms.
