DCC STUDENTS NAMED TO

TECHNICAL HONOR SOCIETY

 

 

 

DANVILLE, VA, November 25, 2002 – Seventeen Danville Community College students were inducted into the National Vocational-Technical Honor Society, recently during ceremonies held at DCC.  Membership in NV-THS is the highest scholastic honor awarded for excellence in the workforce education.  Fewer than two percent of America’s secondary and post-secondary students are nominated for membership in this honor society for vocational and technical students.  The students are shown above with their adviser, Bill Roche, and club officers.The members inducted include:

        The 2002-2003 officers for NV-THS are:  Jennifer Bowes, President, Graphic Imaging Technology; Kris Shadrick, Automotive Analysis and Repair; Vice President; Jessica Williams, Graphic Imaging Technology, Secretary/Treasurer/Reporter. In addition to Bill Roche, Professor of Automotive Analysis and Repair, Betty Philpott, an Administrative & Program Specialist in the Electrical-Electronics Department, serves as a chapter adviser.
