is a student in the Liberal Arts/College Transfer program and will graduate next spring. A Danville native, she is a graduate of George Washington High School. She plans a career in political science or international relations. She serves as Vice President of the Student Government Association and is a member of Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society for two-year colleges. She also works part-time as a technical assistant at Electronic Development Lab. “DCC gave me the confidence I needed to make the transition to a university,” Spissu says. “The best thing about DCC is its faculty. They are genuinely eager to help. Students are number one in their minds and it shows! “I encourage others to attend DCC because everyone seems to care about one another,” she added.
