Adam L. Shorter

Adam L. Shorter, son of Alan and Bonnie Shorter, plans to complete his certificate in Auto Body Mechanics this summer. A resident of Martinsville and a graduate of Franklin County High School, Shorter chose to attend DCC because of the location and the positive recommendations he has received about the programs.

“Everyone told me DCC could give me the classes that I wanted and still be convenient because it’s close enough to home,” he said.

Shorter works full-time with Nelson Collision Center where he has been employed for the past year. In the future, he said he would like to continue working full time and possibly pursue DCC’s diploma program in Automotive Analysis and Repair. He also has considered working with his father’s business.

“I would recommend DCC to other people because of the school’s wide range of studies and the knowledgeable faculty,” he said.
