Denia R. Howard

Denia R. Howard, the daughter of Michael and Alycia Howard, is enrolled in the Pharmacy Technician Career Studies program. She will complete her studies in spring 2005 and her plans include working in a retail pharmacy, hospital or home health care setting. The 2002 Tunstall High School graduate says she chose DCC because it was close to home and affordable.

“I know everyone says that (convenient and affordable), but it’s true in my case,” she says. “I was not ready to go away.

“The Pharmacy Technician program is new and is a growing industry. I know it will offer a lot of employment opportunities for me,” she adds.

Howard says she is excited about attending DCC and encourages other young people to think about career options.

“I encourage others to attend DCC because the college can help you succeed in life,” she says. “DCC prepares you for a lot of careers.”
