Sean Davis

Sean Davis, a graduate of George Washington High School, is the son of Gail M. Davis. He is enrolled in the General Engineering Technology and Computer-Aided Drafting and Design programs (dual majors). After graduation in the Spring of 2006, he plans to transfer to Old Dominion University and pursue a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

“I chose DCC because I wanted to work with the engineering department,” Davis says. “ I was impressed with their drive to provide us (students) with the newest technology as well the latest software programming. DCC is the only community college I know that has two Rapid Prototypers.”

Davis serves as president of the Student Government Association and is a peer tutor. He says he encourages others to attend DCC because “Danville Community College takes an active role” in the community to help displaced workers and replace lost jobs.

“DCC has the ability to adapt to the demands of prospective companies that are looking to come into Danville and surrounding areas. Upon graduation, this places DCC students at an advantage over the other schools,” he adds.
