Tiketa Simone Thomas

Tiketa Simone Thomas, enrolled in the Accounting curriculum, is a resident of Danville. A graduate of George Washington High School, Thomas is the daughter of Brenda Thomas and the mother of daughter, Niketa Thomas. Upon receiving her Associate in Applied Science Degree later this year, she plans to relocate to Richmond and pursue a career in the accounting field.

Thomas is a member of the Upsilon Phi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, an international honor society for two-year colleges. In addition, she has a 3.90 grade point average and is consistently named to the President’s Honors List.

“I recently got laid-off from my job in Greensboro, NC, so I decided to attend school full-time,” Thomas says, explaining why she chose DCC. “It is also closer to my family and friends.”

Thomas says she would definitely encourage others to attend DCC. “The experience is one you will never forget. It is very real, yet satisfying.”
