Cindy Whitt

Cindy Whitt, a Danville native, is enrolled in the Liberal Arts/College Transfer program, and will graduate with an Associate Degree in Arts and Science next spring. The daughter of Maxine Whitt, she plans to transfer to Averett University and major in English with a minor in Journalism.

She currently serves as the Vice President of the Student Government Association and is a member of Phi Theta Kappa, an international honor society for two-year college students. She also is employed as a work-study student in the college’s Admissions Office.

Cindy, who was home-schooled, says she chose DCC because “it is convenient, inexpensive, and it was a good starting point for my educational goals.”

She adds that she encourages others to attend DCC, “because the faculty and staff are eager to help students succeed.”
