B. Kaye Arthur Moyer

Kaye Moyer of Danville is enrolled in the Administrative Support Technology program - Medical Office Specialization. She will graduate next spring with an Associate in Applied Science degree and plans a career in the oncology field.

A 1976 graduate of Tunstall High School, Moyer came to DCC after working for several years at VF Corporation. She was one of 100 employees given the opportunity to return to school. She says her daughter -- already a student at DCC, also influenced her. Since enrolling at DCC, Moyer has immersed herself in a variety of student activities, including serving as president of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society. She also participated in the PEW Leadership program and is a member of the International Association of Administrative Professionals, National Vocational-Technical Honor Society, and CEO Club. Moyer also serves as a tutor and representative to the Student Government Association.

“I have only had positive experiences at DCC,” Moyer says. “I have found the staff, faculty, and administration to be very helpful and encouraging in trying to get not only the young students to feel accepted and integrated into the college curriculum, but the ones not so young as well.”
