Courtney Genese Harrell

Courtney Genese Harrell of Danville is enrolled in the Information System Technology Program --Networking Specialization. The daughter of Antonio and Bonnie Harrell, she is a 1998 graduate of George Washington High School.

She is a second-year student and will graduate in May 2003.

“ I chose DCC because I wanted that one-on-one learning experience,” Courtney says. “DCC also has a very good career placement program.”

While at DCC, Courtney is a member of the Upsilon Phi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society. She also serves as secretary of the Sunday school at White Rock Baptist Church in Danville. In addition to taking a full load of courses at DCC, she manages a full-time job at the Footlocker store.

Courtney says she gladly encourages others to attend DCC.

“DCC is a great place to start your educational career,” she adds. Courtney credits her instructor, Charlie Adams, Professor of Information Systems Technology, for being particularly helpful and understanding.

“He (Adams) has helped me a great deal in reaching my career goals,” she says.
