Robert J. Liggon

Robert J. Liggon of Danville plans a career in the electrical engineering field. The George Washington High School graduate will receive his diploma in Electrical-Electronics (analyst electronics specialization) in May 2005.  He is the father of five-year-old Amanda Liggon, and the son of Else Liggon and the late Bobby Liggon. 

                Liggon limits his extracurricular activities, saying he doesn’t have time to take on additional responsibilities.

 “Besides working, my daughter’s activities are my activities,” he adds. 

Liggon says he chose DCC because the college had a variety of offerings that interested him.

  “I wanted a skill that would provide a stable income and improve my knowledge of electronics,” he says.  “DCC offered my particular program of interest; it was close to home; and the tuition was affordable.”

Liggon says he would definitely encourage others to consider attending DCC.

 “In today’s workforce, an education gives you the edge you need to excel,” he adds.
