DCC STUDENT WINS STATE VICA CONTEST
DANVILLE,
VA., April 2, 2003 -- Danville Community College student Kevin Poole
of South Boston took first place honors at the State Vocational and
Industrial Clubs of America’s (VICA) Precision Machining competition
held recently in Virginia Beach. He received the gold medal for first
place in precision machining technology. Poole will represent DCC and
the state at the national competition to be held June 23 - 27 in Kansas
City, MO. He
will compete in the National Precision Machining Technology category. For more
