DCC PRACTICAL NURSING

GRADUATES RECEIVE PINS

DANVILLE, Va., December 21, 2004 – Twenty-one Danville Community College practical nursing

Danville Community College’s 2004 Practical Nursing class includes

students were awarded their nursing pins in a ceremony held recently.

Dr. Carlyle Ramsey, President of DCC, was the keynote speaker. Other remarks were presented by Dr. Max Glass, Interim Vice President of Academic and Student Services, and Dr. Wade Davenport, Dean of the Division of Arts and Sciences. In addition to the pinning ceremony, special recognition awards were presented. Graduates receiving awards included: Laura Lewis of Dry Fork, who was recognized with the Academic Excellence Award ; Sue Bullington of Spencer, who was named All Around Improved Student; April Rowland of Gretna, who received the Outstanding Clinical Performance Award; and Carmen Randall of Danville, who received the Outstanding All-Around Student Award.
