RESIDENTS AMONG DCC
GRADUATES FOR 2002
DANVILLE, VA., May 10, 2002
-- Area residents were among the 380 graduates who participated
recently in Danville Community College's commencement. The
commencement speaker was Anne Marie Morgan, a news anchor and
State Capitol Reporter for the Virginia News Network. Morgan is also a
former member and chair of the State Board for Community Colleges. The
Board oversees the operations of Virginia’s 23 community colleges.
Certificates, diplomas and associate degrees in more than 30 program
areas were conferred upon the graduates by Dr. B. Carlyle Ramsey, DCC
President. In addition special recognition was accorded to area police,
fire, rescue, emergency services and military personnel. Area high
school JROTC members served as the color guard. For more
