DCC HOSTS SKILLS USA DISTRICT CONTESTS
DANVILLE, VA, February 11, 2008 — More than 350 high school students are expected to participate in the SkillsUSA District Competition, on Saturday, February 15, on the campus of Danville Community College. Cathy Pulliam, Assistant Coordinator of Recruitment and Enrollment Management, says the participating students are from Amherst, Bedford, Franklin, Henry, Patrick, Halifax and Pittsylvania Counties, and Lynchburg City. They will participate in 20 different competitions.
“We are excited to host these events,” Pulliam adds. “We have numerous campus volunteers who are working to ensure a successful competition.”
