50 DCC STUDENTS INDUCTED IN PHI THETA KAPPA HONOR SOCIETY

 DANVILLE, VA, February 28, 2007 – Fifty Danville Community College students were recently inducted into

 the DCC chapter (Upsilon Phi) of Phi Theta Kappa, the International honor society for two-year college students. In addition, Joan McDowell of Danville was inducted as an Honorary Member for her service to the organization, was the speaker at the ceremony. The program also featured remarks by Buddy Rawley, Director of Development, and the chapter advisors, Dee Drinkard, Assistant Professor of Psychology; Sherry F. Gott, Assistant Professor of English; and Vickie H. Taylor, Assistant Professor of Sociology.
