DCC OFFERS INFO SESSIONS FOR FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRE-EMPLOYMENT TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES

DANVILLE, VA, February 7, 2006 – Information sessions on upcoming customized pre-employment training opportunities at Danville Community College will be held Thursday and Friday, February 16 and 17, at DCC’s Regional Center for Advanced Technology and Training (RCATT). The sessions will include detailed information about upcoming pre-employment training opportunities and participation requirements that are being planned at the request of area businesses. Company representatives will be present.

The information sessions are scheduled to begin on both days at 8:30 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 3:00 p.m., and 5:30 p.m. in the auditorium of DCC’s RCATT facility, located at 121 Slayton Avenue in the Danville (Cyber Park). Pre-registration is required to attend the information sessions. To sign-up visit the Virginia Employment Commission (VEC)-Danville Office (165 Deer Run Road) prior to Tuesday, Feb.14. Persons served by the South Boston (VEC) can sign-up at that location (1438 Seymour Drive) also by Feb. 14. Photo identification will be required for admission to the RCATT information sessions.
