Recipients of the James Bustard
scholarship awards at Danville Community College are shown at the
awards ceremony. They are (left to right): Leslie Shaip,
Angela Chappell, Meredith Palmer, Angel Guy,
Sarah Hall, Christle Fallen, Karen White,
Shelly Osborne, Albert Hudson, Regina Al-Jamaan,
Sara Spissu, Keith Logan, and Mary Robbins.
Each of the recipients received scholarships to transfer to a
four-year college in the fall. |
Cayce Sheene of Ruffin, NC, left, was named the recipient
of the McGovern General Excellency Scholarship Award at Danville
Community College. Sheene, who is majoring in Liberal Arts, is
shown with Dr. Wade Davenport, Dean of the Arts and Science
Division, and the presenter of the award. Sheene, who received a
$1,000 scholarship, plans a career in education.

Five Danville Community College students continuing their
education this fall at four-year colleges and universities, are
the recipients of the Barksdale Honors Scholarships, named in
memory of Mary Barksdale, former librarian at DCC. The recipients
are (left to right): Daniel Hudnall, Hannah Duncan,
Elizabeth Boatwright, Lakea Patterson.
