DCC STUDENTS RECOGNIZED

DANVILLE, VA., April 27, 2006—Seventy-two Danville Community College students were recognized recently at the Ninth Annual Awards, Recognition and Reception. The students were recognized for their leadership and community service, academic skills, and their work with clubs and other campus organizations.  The Honorable Mayor John C. Hamlin, City of Danville, was the guest speaker.  Awards were presented by Cathy Pulliam, Student Recruitment and Enrollment Coordinator, while Dr. Christopher Ezell, Vice President of Academic and Student Services, recognized the club sponsors.

            More than $43,750 in scholarship awards were presented to the following students who will transfer this fall to four-year universities. The students are:
