DANVILLE,
VA, Dec. 17, 2001 -- Danville Community
College received a check for $857,000
from the Tobacco Indemnification and Community Revitalization Commission.
The funds will be used to continue DCC projects in the areas of financial
assistance to tobacco-dependent families; expand the Information
Technology Institute; and develop the Advanced Manufacturing Degree
program with a focus on polymer and plastics. Shown, left to right, are:
