DCC Student Named to Fellowship Program


(September 22, 2017)  – Danville Community College information technology and cybersecurity student Jacob B. Hancock of Gretna was named as a 2017-2018 Middle Border Forward fellow on Tuesday, September 19.


He is the first student to be accepted into the program.


Jacob is joined by 19 other fellows from Chatham, Danville, Dry Fork, Semora, N.C., Providence, N.C., Ruffin, N.C., and Yanceyville, N.C., and they will be involved in projects and leadership development opportunities throughout the middle border region surrounding south central Virginia and north central North Carolina.


Jacob is also pursuing a career studies certificate in project management at DCC.
