LEVA E-BIKE TECHNICIAN TRAINING HAS WINNING DISPLAY AT CONFERENCE

The LEVA E-Bike Winning Display

DANVILLE, VA, February 25, 2014 –The Light Electric Vehicle Association (LEVA) E-Bike Technician Training and Certification Program won the top award recently at the Virginia Community College System Showcase during the “Hire Ed” Conference, held recently in Richmond. The LEVA program was developed at Danville Community College’s Regional Center for Advanced Technology and Training. The LEVA-DCC training display (pictured) was judged best from among 30 entries. The DCC training was developed with the help of the Electric Auto Association TEVA Chapter in NC and southern VA. Various brands of E-Bikes are used in the training including the Pedego shown in the photo. The training covers all the electrical aspects of E-Bikes including topics on batteries, chargers, controls, motors and motor controllers.

The next two-day course is scheduled for April 18 and 19, at RCATT. The course includes the new E-Bike Maintenance Manual and certification registration in the LEVA database. For more information, contact Jerry Franklin at 434.797.8573 or
