Awards Recognition Ceremony

Danville Community College students await their turn to be recognized for their leadership and community service, as well as academic excellence.

DANVILLE, VA, May 3, 2013 – Eighty three Danville Community College students were honored recently at the 16th Annual Awards, Recognition and Reception. The students were recognized for their leadership and community service, academic skills and their work with clubs and other campus organizations.

 The Honorable Donald W. Merricks, Virginia House of Delegates, District 16 was the guest speaker.. Merricks is also President and CEO of J. W. Squire Company, Inc. and River City Specialties & Interiors, Inc. DCC President Dr. Carlyle Ramsey provided welcoming remarks.

Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society, Student American Dental Hygienist Association, Student Government Association, Student Leadership Program, Student Veterans Organization, TEACH (To Educate Always Creates Hope) and Who’s Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges.
