DANVILLE, VA, May 11, 2011 – Eighty five Danville Community College students were honored recently at the 14th Annual Awards, Recognition and Reception. The students were recognized for their leadership and community service, academic skills and their work with clubs and other campus organizations.

The guest speakers were Dr. Janet Laughlin, Dean of the Division of Student Success and Academic Advancement; Dr. Edward T. White, recently retired Dean of the Division of Business and Engineering Technologies; and Dr. A. Wade Davenport, former Dean of the Division of Arts and Sciences. DCC President Dr. Carlyle Ramsey provided welcoming remarks.

Scholarship awards were presented to the following students who are planning to transfer to four-year universities.
