DANVILLE, VA, January 7, 2011 - Danville Community College practical nursing students were awarded their nursing pins in a ceremony held recently. DCC President Dr. Carlyle Ramsey was the keynote speaker, with other remarks given by Dr. Chris Ezell, Vice President, Academic and Student Services, and Dr. Wade Davenport, Dean, Division of Arts and Sciences.

In addition, special recognition awards were presented as follows: Kathy Nuckles, Sutherlin, Best All-Around Student Nurse Award; Max Langley, Danville, Most Improved Clinical Performance; Melanie Dowdy, Ringgold, Nadine Dalton Award; and Jennifer Robertson. Danville, Academic Excellence Award.
