The next Manufacturing Technician classes start soon. Call for details and information.

DANVILLE, VA – The Manufacturing Technician program at Danville Community College is now recruiting its next cohort of students interested in seeking a strong knowledge of the skills required by today’s manufacturers. The next classes start this month at DCC’s Regional Center for Advanced Technology and Training (RCATT), located at 121 Slayton Avenue in Danville, as well as in the Halifax County area.

The short-term 26-credit program is offered in cooperation with area companies and organizations that are seeking highly skilled workers. Participants develop a strong knowledge of the skills required in manufacturing within a concise and flexible schedule. The certification can be completed in as little as 12 weeks and covers a variety of topics including Business Ethics, Applications in Motor Controls, DC and AC Circuits, KeyTrain Remediation, Team Concepts and Problem Solving, World Class Manufacturing I, Industrial Methods, Survey of Computer Software Applications, Basic Fluid Mechanics-Hydraulics/Pneumatics, Mechanical Maintenance I, Industrial Safety and Preparation for Employment. Funds may be available to assist with tuition for the program.
