DANVILLE, VA, June 12, 2009 – The sixth group of students in Danville Community College’s Manufacturing Technician Career Studies Certificate Program recently completed studies and are now on their way to new employment opportunities. The short-term (12 weeks) training program prepares graduates for employment in various manufacturing jobs requiring advanced technical and operator skills as well as knowledge of advanced manufacturing practices. The recent program graduates in the photo at right, are (left to right): Gene Hill, Patrick Johnson, Martha Pinkney, Kelita Hairston, Carolyn Guy, Jamelle Lipford, and Elsworth Walker.
