DANVILLE, VA, December 4, 2009 - Danville Community College Justice Club members recently took top honors in the American Criminal Justice Association – Lambda Alpha Epsilon (LAE) Region IV Conference, held recently in Philadelphia, PA. The students competed in events, such as criminal law, police administration, juvenile justice, corrections, LAE Knowledge, physical agility, firearms and crime scene. Shown left to right, are: (front row) Harvie Jeter, who received the firearms trophy; Chapter Advisor John Wilt, physical agility, LAE knowledge, police administration, corrections and the regional academic trophy (tied with a student); Alex Jackson; Jessica Stephens, physical agility; and Jasmine Stephens; (second row) Kayla Newton, police administration; Melinda Reid, LAE knowledge; Shirley Redd, physical agility; and Sylvester Beard, physical agility; (back row) Bobby Huffman; Angela Wassack; and Tyrone Younger. The DCC members received a total of 11 trophies which was the most received by any of the other 22 chapters participating in the conference.
