Donald R. Pippin was previously the Senior Mentor Supervisor with DCC’s Title III program. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health and Physical Education from Lynchburg College. Pippin is no stranger to DCC, as he was an adjunct faculty member and math and computer literacy tutor in the development math area. He also taught math in Danville’s Adult Education program, Campbell County, Bedford County, Amherst County, and Pittsylvania County Public Schools. In 2002 he was named Outstanding Adjunct Instructor at DCC.
 

Christie S. Lutz, a native of Blairs, has been named the Administrative & Program Specialist III with DCC’s Middle College. She received her Associate in Applied Science Degree in Administrative Support Technology from Danville Community College in 2004 and her Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from Averett University in 2009. She was employed part-time as the administrative assistant with the Middle College, as well as a student worker with the Career Placement/Tech Prep Office. She also was employed by VF Playwear for 26 years until the plant closed.
 

Wilhemena Lipscomb, a resident of Yanceyville, NC has been employed part-time as Middle College Instructor at Danville Community College. After taking classes at DCC, she entered the College Transfer Program at Piedmont Community College, and in 1990, earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Deaf Education, Speech and Hearing from the University of North Carolina in Greensboro. Previously, she worked at Piedmont Community College for eight years as an Adult Basic Skills Instructor and Coordinator. Since 1968, she has been an usher and in the choir at New Ephesus Baptist Church. She has also served on the Advisory committee for both Partnerships for Children and the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council. For six years, she was a member of Deaf Education Club. On her spare time, Lipscomb enjoys reading, gardening and making floral arrangements.
