Minimum Qualifications

The successful candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent, five years current experience in welding and fabrication, and have, or obtain within the first year of employment, the Certified Welding Educator (CWE) credential from the American Welding Society, followed by the Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) credential. The college will cover the costs associated with obtaining this certification. An Associate’s degree or equivalent in the teaching field and welding teaching experience is preferred.
