Course Number and Title:    EIP 214  Sign-to-Voice Transliterating IV

I.              Catalog Description:  Further develops simultaneous sign-to-voice transliterating skills through extensive practice.  Continues to develop and refine fluency, accuracy and speed with a variety of simultaneous sign-to-voice materials. Accentuates use of appropriate English grammar and vocal intonation. Prerequisite: EIP 213 or consent of instructor. These courses may not transfer to any other VCCS institutions in ASL or INT programs. Lecture 1 hour per week.

This is the seventh required upper level course of the EIP curriculum.

B.    Demonstrate the ability to “voice” signed segments simultaneously, using appropriate English grammar and vocal intonation, with 80% accuracy.
