  1. Catalog Description:  Presents an overview of various aspects of Deaf Culture, including educational and legal issues.  Examines the history of the Deaf Community.

 

  1. Relationship of the course to curricula objectives in which it is taught:    This transfer quality course strengthens writing, speaking and listening critically and reflectively.  It exposes students to a significant subculture in both the U.S. and Deaf world communities.

 

  1. Required background:  ENF 3 competency recommended.

Learner outcomes will be measured by classroom participation, homework, quizzes and tests.

 

All written assignments will be assessed for spelling, punctuation, grammar and consistency according to the conventions of standard English.
