Earning Honors Credit

Honors Courses

To qualify for the Honors program, students need:

1. COMPASS score above 80 in Reading, above a 75 in Writing, and a Math score at least in the College Algebra range
2. 3.25 High School GPA for recent high school graduates
3. 3.0 Overall GPA in non-Honors courses
4. MTH 2 Completion
5. To be non-developmental in English
6. To have satisfied prerequisites of each Honors Community course

To complete the Honors Program, students have the option to earn Honors designation as an "Honors Program Graduate" on their diplomas, transcripts, and on the graduation program by taking a minimum of 12 credit hours of Honors coursework.

Students can receive Honors designation on their transcripts only by completing an Honors Project(s), Honors course, of Honors Symposium.
