I. Catalog Description:
CST 130 surveys the principles of drama, the development of theatre production, and selected plays to acquaint the student with various types of theatrical presentations.
II. Relationship of the course to Curricula Objectives in which it is Taught:
Students successfully completing this course will demonstrate the ability to listen objectively and speak effectively in an organized manner, locate and utilize information sources, develop ability for critical thinking, recognize effective interpersonal skills, and recognize existence of different perspectives and cultural values. The course is an acceptable liberal arts elective and is required in some technical programs.

Students will be required to prepare and execute multiple oral presentation projects defined by faculty. Students will be required to research topics and locate relevant and reliable information on them. Faculty may also require tests, quizzes, exams or other written projects which support the assessment of students.
All written assignments will be assessed for spelling, punctuation, grammar, and consistency according to the conventions of standard English.
