Nursing Simulation Lab

The Ralph R Landes M.D. Center for Excellence in Nursing Education simulation lab allows our nursing students to experience very realistic settings and situations similar to those they will encounter in nursing practice. Our state of the art facility, is designed to increase safety, confidence and competence amongst our nursing students.  The Simulation Laboratory includes high-fidelity mannequins that exhibit human physiologic functions such as blood pressure, reactive pupils, working tear ducts and heart and lung sounds. Nursing students are able to perform many common procedures such as starting an IV, inserting a bladder catheter, administering medications, changing dressings and inserting nasogastric tubes into these mannequins.

The Center Includes:

·         Critical care room.

·         OB simulation room.

·         Pediatric simulation room.

·         An 8 bed medical surgical unit.
