Welcome! Do you enjoy singing, reading children's books and playing outside? The Early Childhood Program may be just for you! Stop by the Carrington Child Development Center (located in between Wyatt and Foundation Hall). We will plan your career path and prepare you for the exciting world of educating children ages birth to eight years old.

 

You will take classes such as:     Teaching Art, Music and Movement to Young Children

Language Arts for Young Children

Child Health, Nutrition and Safety

Guiding the Behavior of Children

and many more!

As a student in the Early Childhood Program at DCC you will have the opportunity to work with young children in our on-campus lab school, Families First Children's Center. You will get hands-on experiences as well as classroom lecture time. Please refer to the college catalog for the most up-to-date listing of courses and their descriptions and get started today!
